New Record: Mohammad Rizwan scores most runs in bilateral T20I series

Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman for Pakistan, set a new record by becoming the first individual to amass the most runs in a pair of bilateral T20I series.

Pakistan’s Green Shirts defeated England by six runs in the fifth T20I of the seven-match series on Wednesday, capping off another nail-biting battle in which they stole victory from England’s hands.

As per usual, the elegant Rizwan kept up his stellar performance by scoring another 63 points off of just 46 balls.

And with his half-century, Rizwan has set a new record for most runs scored in a bilateral T20I series.

Rizwan has still to play the final two games of the seven-match series against England, but he has already scored 315 runs in five of those games.

Prior to this, Pakistan captain Babar Azam set the record by scoring 210 runs in four innings against South Africa in 2021.

Leslie Dunbar of Serbia, who had scored 284 runs in four innings against Bulgaria, also lost his record to Rizwan.
