Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the sixth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 on Wednesday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. They won by seven wickets and successfully chased down the 154-run total in the 17th over.
After winning the toss, Karachi Kings chose to field first and held Peshawar Zalmi to only 154 runs in 19.5 overs. Even with captain Babar Azam’s outstanding 72 off 51 balls, the other batters did not do anything for the squad. Asif Ali and Rovman Powell scored 23 and 39 runs, respectively.
Kieron Pollard, who scored 49 runs off of 21 balls with a fierce display, was the driving force behind the Karachi Kings’ victorious chase. Captain of the Kings, Shan Masood, led the team to victory in the 17th over.
Both teams had previously lost their opening games in the 9th edition of the PSL.
