ISLAMABAD: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took to social media platform X to offer advice to Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, following Pakistan’s loss to Australia in Bengaluru on Friday.
In a post on X, Harbhajan recommended that the Pakistan captain should learn from the Indian batting legend, Virat Kohli.
“Kohli is a Modren days legend without a question. Scored runs in every situation and conditions and won game for India. Babar and many others should learn from King kohli ✌️baat khatam . Koi shak anyone ?” Harbhajan wrote.
Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan captain, anticipates that Babar will elevate his performance and conclude matches for the Men in Green.
“Improved line and length today and a great 5fer by @iShaheenAfridi Strong opening by @imabd28 & @ImamUlHaq12 but the team lost. I expect @babarazam258 to exhibit during this WC, the world class finisher that he is. #CWC23,” Afridi wrote in a post on X.
Australia established an impressive first-innings total of 367 runs, primarily attributed to a remarkable 259-run opening partnership, with David Warner scoring 163 runs and Mitchell Marsh contributing 121 runs.
During the pursuit of this target, Pakistan could only muster 305 runs, and their captain, Babar Azam, continued to face difficulties, as he was dismissed by Adam Zampa after scoring only 18 runs.
