For PSL Matches, the NCOC Permits 100% Stadium Capacity.

Only 50% of fully vaccinated fans will be permitted into the stadium for PSL Lahore matches till February 15, and then 100% of fully vaccinated spectators will be allowed into the stadium from February 16 onwards.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been granted permission by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) to conduct the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Lahore with 100% stadium capacity starting on the 16th of this month as the country reported the lowest number of Covid-19 cases since January 12.

Furthermore, non-vaccinated youngsters under the age of 12 will also be allowed to enter stadiums. Passenger arrivals at the country’s airports would no longer be subjected to Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT).

Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar presided over the meeting which addressed epidemic statistics, national immunisation progress and incoming health measures.

Children under 12 years of age (unvaccinated) will also be allowed to watch matches in the stadium.

Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for Inbound Passengers at the country’s airports has been eliminated with effect from February 8, however RAT will continue to be administered for deportees from other countries and for non-vaccinated persons entering through land border terminals.

Over the preceding 24 hours, the NCOC reported 3,338 COVID positive infections and 38 fatalities, according to its statistics. Before this, less than 3,300 cases were reported on January 12, resulting in an infection rate of 3,019 persons.

On February 7th, there were 89,192 confirmed cases. The number had already crossed the 100,000 mark. On Monday, 1,833 critically infected people were sent to the hospital. Around the country, 156 of these patients depend on mechanical ventilation.
