Qatar is the first Muslim country prepared to host the prestigious FIFA World Cup in 2022, and it is providing visitors from around the world with an excellent experience. While doing so, it is gaining popularity around the world and for all the right reasons.
Qatar has not wasted the chance to promote Islam and dispel misconceptions about the faith, which is practised by billions of people worldwide, by hosting one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
Qatar likely stands firm on its principles, in contrast to many other Muslim countries that would likely not want to offend western countries with their values.
The event’s organisers have taken every precaution to deliver the message of Islam in a respectful manner, from hotels to stadiums.
It was probably the first time that attendees of the mega event’s opening match received gifts, which was a reflection of the hospitality that Islam encourages.
There is also strict adherence to other fundamental principles. Alcohol, which is categorically forbidden in Islam, will not be permitted in Qatari stadiums, not even for foreign spectators.
Qatar promised an extravagant experience and made sure that the Azan’s beauty and grandeur were not missed by the guests. For that reason, They’ve brought muezzins with lovely voices and set up microphones in stadiums for Azan.
Beautiful!
