Pakistani javelin ace Arshad Nadeem has respectfully declined an invitation from Indian Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra to take part in the upcoming Bengaluru Classic Javelin Throw Championship.
Sources close to the athlete confirmed that Arshad had already committed to a detailed training and competition schedule for the year, leaving him unable to accommodate the trip to India.
The championship, aimed at showcasing elite javelin talent, had extended a personal invite from Chopra in hopes of featuring a high-profile lineup.
However, Arshad’s focus remains firmly on the upcoming Asian Athletics Championships, set to take place in South Korea later in May. His preparations for the prestigious event are now entering their final stages.
Arshad is scheduled to depart for South Korea on May 22, with the championship kicking off on May 27. The decision reflects his commitment to maintaining peak form and representing Pakistan at the continental level.
