Security forces killed seven suspected terrorists during separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources.
The first intelligence-based operation targeted the presence of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists in Bara. During the ensuing exchange of fire, security forces killed five terrorists and destroyed their hideouts.
According to security sources, troops also recovered a large quantity of explosives and ammunition from the militants’ possession. The security forces reaffirmed their resolve to eliminate terrorism under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative.
Two Terrorists Killed in Chaghi
Meanwhile, security forces conducted another operation in Balochistan under Operation Riddal Fitna. Troops engaged terrorists in the Nokcha area of Chaghi and killed two of them.
Security sources said the terrorists attempted to escape after setting empty water bowsers on fire. The suspects allegedly remained involved in arson and attacks at different locations along the N-40 Highway.
Security Forces Intensify Counterterrorism Operations
The latest operations come amid continued counterterrorism efforts across the country. Security forces have increased intelligence-based operations against groups accused of carrying out attacks and sabotage activities.
Earlier, on August 31, security forces killed 11 terrorists allegedly belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan. The slain militants were reportedly involved in similar sabotage and arson incidents.
Authorities have vowed to continue operations against militant groups and prevent further attacks. Security sources said efforts would continue to target terrorist hideouts and networks across affected areas.
