Solana Launches Saga Crypto Smartphone worth $1000

Taking the bold step of announcing the release of its software ecosystem, Solana Mobile Stack, for Android mobile devices and disclosing that it will release an Android smartphone called Saga in the new year, Solana Labs, the company representing the Solana blockchain network’s founders and key contributors, has taken the lead.

Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder and CEO of Solana, had a Steve Jobs-like moment when he announced the release of Saga, an Android web3 smartphone, in front of an audience in New York City.

In-built web3 compatibility will be a feature of the future Android smartphone from OSOM and Solana, which has been given specs.

The smartphone is advertised as the Essential PH-1’s follow-up, which debuted a few years ago.

We now have more details about the phone’s internals, thanks to the blockchain platform, as the ultimate release of that device approaches.

A couple of the features the Solana Saga will include are a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It also has every other feature found on today’s leading Android devices. Additionally, it will sport a 50MP main rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide snapper in addition to being pre-installed with a light, bloat-free flavour of Android 13.

The Saga’s architecture, which includes a titanium frame and a ceramic back, is what makes it more appealing.

Those same components were previously used in Essential PH-1. Despite all of its flaws, the Solana Saga’s construction appears to be on par with that of the earlier design.

It felt really solid in the hand. It is also quite substantial, which gives it a more distinct sensation.

A further area where the phone can fall short is the battery; with a 4,110 mAh capacity, you might want to read reviews before buying one because there’s a strong chance it won’t be up to par.

You can reserve one if you’re thinking about buying one by paying a $100 deposit. It will cost $1,000 overall and be sent in the first quarter of 2019. If you dislike cryptography, don’t worry; OSOM has already indicated that you may turn everything off if you’d want.

“Around the world, about 7 billion people use smartphones, and more than 100 million people own digital assets; both of these figures will rise. Saga establishes a new benchmark for the mobile web3 experience, according to the CEO of Solana.

The phone will initially be sold in the EU, USA, Canada, and UK for $1,000.
