Renowned Pakistani chef Zakir Hussain, celebrated for his culinary expertise and captivating television presence, passed away at the age of 58 after a prolonged battle with kidney disease.
According to family sources, Chef Zakir breathed his last at 8 PM on Sunday night. He had been receiving treatment in the United States, where doctors had exhausted all options. About a month ago, he returned to Pakistan to spend his remaining days with family and loved ones.
His funeral prayers will be held on Tuesday after Asr at Jamia Rashidia, Malir Saudabad, followed by burial at the Saudabad cemetery.
