ISLAMABAD: Chinese AI startup DeepSeek has rolled out a major upgrade to its V3 large language model, stepping up competition with U.S. tech giants like OpenAI and Anthropic.
The newly released DeepSeek-V3-0324 is now available on the AI development platform Hugging Face, signaling the company’s continued efforts to establish itself in the fast-growing AI sector.
The upgraded model boasts significant improvements in reasoning and coding capabilities, with benchmark tests showing enhanced performance across various technical metrics.
DeepSeek has quickly gained traction in the global AI landscape, releasing competitive models that rival Western alternatives while maintaining lower operational costs. The company first launched its V3 model in December, followed by the R1 model in January.
