Pakistani passport holders can now obtain a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival in Qatar. However, travellers must meet several important conditions before entering the country.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, eligible Pakistani citizens can receive the visa without paying an application fee. The facility allows a stay of up to 30 days, depending on hotel reservations.
Who Can Get Qatar’s Free Tourist Visa?
Applicants must possess a valid Pakistani passport, confirmed return ticket, approved hotel booking and health insurance.
The official free visa scheme requires passports to remain valid for at least three months.
However, separate immigration guidance specifies six months. Travellers should therefore ensure six months of validity to avoid complications.
Hotel Booking Rules Could Affect Your Entry
Qatar requires hotel reservations through the official Discover Qatar website.
Bookings made through other platforms are not accepted under this particular scheme.
Applicants must also obtain health insurance from an accredited provider.
A one-month insurance policy may cost approximately QAR 50.
Additional Requirements Pakistani Travellers Must Know
Separate Qatari immigration guidance also specifies proof of funds worth QAR 5,000 or an accepted credit card equivalent.
Travellers arriving directly from Pakistan may need a valid polio vaccination certificate.
These additional requirements should be verified before departure.
How to Get the Visa at Doha Airport
Upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, eligible passengers should visit the Discover Qatar desk for document verification.
They can then proceed to immigration for entry processing.
Although the visa itself is free, travellers must pay for flights, accommodation and insurance.
Meeting all requirements does not guarantee entry, as Qatari immigration authorities make the final decision.
