Maryam Nawaz, and Fazlur Rehman join a sit-in outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman have joined the sit-in outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

They are seen standing on the front side of the PDM’s container, parked outside the Supreme Court building.

Both leaders will address the participants of the sit-in. The PDM leaders will voice their concern against judiciary’s special treatment to PTI chairman Imran Khan.

JUI-F Ansarul Islam Force

The Ansarul-Islam force of the JUI-F popularly known as ‘Danda Force’ will guard the sit-in of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Hundreds of activists of Ansarul Islam have reached outside the Supreme Court carrying batons (dandas) and they are guarding the sit-in.

Meanwhile, JUI-F President and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the sit-in will be held outside the Supreme Court.

He said, “We will start our protest around 1 pm today outside the apex court.”

Thousands of workers of the ruling PDM alliance have reached Islamabad today to participate in the sit-in.

PDM’s Container, Supporters Reach Islamabad

Ignoring the request of the federal government, the PDM leaders and protesters are gathering outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan to launch their sit-in from today.

Containers equipped with different facilities and decorated with PDM flags also reached outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

PDM chief ignores federal govt’s request

The PDM container, leaders, and thousands of workers have gathered outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan setting aside the Section 144 imposed in the city and no entry in the Red Zone.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Maulana Fazlur Rehman seemed to have ignored the federal government’s request to shift the venue of the sit-in to D-Chowk.

The Federal Federal Interior Minister and Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held two meetings with PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday and urged him to change the venue of the sit-in to D-Chowk from outside the Supreme Court building.
