Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan called on the government Thursday to involve Parliament in discussions regarding the Jaffar Express attack.
In an exclusive interview with private channel, Khan praised the security forces for their successful operation against the extremists involved. “We commend the efforts of our security forces,” he said.
During the National Assembly session, Khan condemned the tragic incident and extended his condolences to the affected families. “The Army continues to make sacrifices for the safety of the country,” he added.
In a separate press conference, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja expressed solidarity with the public during this difficult time. “This is not the moment for political division. We need to unite and call for an All-Parties Conference (APC),” said Raja.
Raja further clarified that PTI had no involvement in the controversial tweets related to the Jaffar Express attack. “We have nothing to do with those who posted the controversial messages. Some individuals have misrepresented PTI by using these accounts against the security institutions,” he asserted.
