ISLAMABAD: An accountability court today cancelled Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s arrest warrants in the assets beyond means case.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed the assets beyond means case during self-exile of Ishaq Dar and he was declared a proclaimed offender in this case.
On Friday, Ishaq Dar appeared before the court and his lawyer urged the court to cancel the arrest warrants.
Before return of Dar from London, the accountability court suspended the arrest warrants and asked Dar through his lawyer to appear in the court upon arrival in Pakistan.
The court adjourned the case till coming Wednesday.
Talking to media before appearing in the court, Ishaq Dar said that the NAb case against him was fake and fabricated, meant to defame him and his political party.
