ANP Elects Senator Aimal Wali Khan as President in Intra-Party Elections

PESHAWAR: Senator Aimal Wali Khan has been unanimously elected as the new Central President of the Awami National Party (ANP), while the party’s Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has been appointed as the Leader of the Party’s Movement in internal party elections.

The election transpired during the Party’s Central Council meeting, chaired by Chairman Central Election Commission Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Sunday. Former Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti proposed Senator Aimal Wali Khan for the presidency, a proposal unanimously endorsed by all members of the Central Council.

Senator Daud Khan will serve as the Central Senior Vice President of the ANP, with Dr. Muhammad Saleem Khan taking up the position of Secretary General. Jawad Khattak and Ifat Kalsoom will respectively assume the roles of Vice President and Lady Vice President for Islamabad. Pervez Khan (Swabi) and Dr. Noorjahan will respectively hold the positions of Vice President and Lady Vice President.

Faridullah Damar and Salmi Kakar will respectively serve as Vice President and Female Vice President for the ANP in Balochistan. Syed Attaullah Shah and Qudsia Shaheen Advocate will respectively take up the roles of Vice President and Lady Vice President for Punjab.

Anwar Zeib Khan and Shazia Razaq Marwat will respectively be Vice President for Sindh. Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi and Madam Abida Khan will respectively be Vice President for Saraiki Unit.

Additional General Secretary will be Ubaidullah Abid, Deputy General Secretary will be Aurangzeb Khan, and Additional Deputy General Secretary will be Javed Kakar. Senator Haji Hidayatullah Khan is elected as the Central Finance Secretary, and Engineer Ehsanullah as the Spokesperson.

Sardar Hussain Babak will serve as Foreign Affairs Secretary, while Khadim Hussain will be the Culture Secretary. Hussain Ahmed (Khan Nawab) and Shagufta Malik will respectively take up the roles of Joint Secretary and Lady Joint Secretary for Pakhtunkhwa.

From Balochistan, Mohammad Anwar Khan and Shahina Kakar will respectively serve as Joint Secretary and Woman Joint Secretary. Bahadar Khan and Hudeba Rafique will respectively serve as Joint Secretary and Lady Joint Secretary for Punjab.

Hanif Shah Agha and Arooj Ghafoor will respectively hold the positions of Joint Secretary and Lady Joint Secretary for Sindh. Qazi Izhar and Saima Bashir will respectively serve as Joint Secretary and Lady Joint Secretary for the Federal Capital Islamabad.

For Saraiki Unit, Dr. Muhammad Akram Khan and Nosheen Khan Khatun will respectively serve as Joint Secretary and Lady Joint Secretary. Maulana Khanzeb will be the Central Secretary for Ulema, and Dr. Waqar Ahmed will be the Secretary for Teachers Affairs.

Azeem Khan Bilour and Wagma Bazai are elected as Central Secretary Youth Affairs. Saifullah Fazal will be Secretary Social Media, while Amarjit Malhotra will be Secretary Minority Affairs.

Khushdil Khan Advocate is elected as the Central Secretary for Human Rights. Muhammad Farooq Bangash will be the Labour Secretary, and Sardar Rashid Khan Nasir will be the Secretary for Student Affairs.

Sangin Khan Advocate will serve as the Central Secretary for Law Affairs, and Dr. Shaukat Jamal Amirzada as the Central Secretary for the welfare of doctors. Engineer Zard Ali Khan is elected as Secretary for Engineer Affairs, and Dr. Mehrib Moeez Awan will serve as the Secretary for Transgender Rights.

Malik Faqir Ali is elected as the central salar. The new cabinet has received unanimous approval from the central council, with members and officials from across the country participating in the council meeting.
