
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an important meeting with Saudi Arabiaโs Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan on Friday at the Prime Ministerโs House. The Saudi minister arrived in Islamabad for a one-day official visit.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, also attended the meeting. PM Shehbaz warmly welcomed the guest and conveyed his respects to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Pakistan Values Saudi Economic Support
In the course of discussion, the prime minister remembered his friendly phone call with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He gave due recognition to Saudi Arabiaโs continuous economic and financial support, which is instrumental in ensuring the economic stability of Pakistan. Besides, he underlined the historical brotherhood between the two nations and thanked the Crown Prince for his special affection towards Pakistan.
In the transition to future plans, PM Shehbaz emphasized the unwavering commitment of Pakistan to increase its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in various spheres of trade and investment. He made it very clear that the government and people of Pakistan will always be by the side of Saudi people.
Saudi Side Pledges to Deepen Fraternal Relations
The Saudi finance minister expressed gratitude towards the prime minister and assured the Kingdom’s determination to deepen its strong relationship with Pakistan. It is important to note that the Saudi Arabiaโs foreign policy is in line with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmanโs vision for the country.
In addition, various methods were put forward on how to foster collaboration in several fields. This discussion happened at a time when Pakistan is taking part in regional diplomacy by mediating between Iran and the United States.
