Motorists in Pakistan are set to receive another fuel price relief as the federal government announces fresh reductions in petroleum prices. Petrol has become cheaper by Rs7.06 per litre, while high-speed diesel prices have dropped by Rs3.71.
The revised rates will take effect from November 5, 2026, replacing the prices announced earlier. Consequently, motorists and transport operators will benefit from lower fuel costs.
New Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan
According to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the latest adjustment has reduced prices of both major petroleum products.
The revised prices are as follows:
| Petroleum Product | Previous Price | Reduction | New Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petrol | Rs369.06 | Rs7.06 | Rs362.00 |
| High-Speed Diesel | Rs391.52 | Rs3.71 | Rs387.81 |
Petrol now costs Rs362 per litre, down from Rs369.06. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has fallen from Rs391.52 to Rs387.81 per litre.
When Will the New Fuel Prices Take Effect?
The revised petroleum prices will become applicable from November 5, 2026.
OGRA announced the adjustment through a press release on Wednesday. The authority explained that officials determined the revised ex-depot rates under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.
Therefore, the new prices replace the rates that remained applicable on November 4.
Second Consecutive Fuel Price Reduction
The latest announcement follows another reduction introduced just a day earlier.
On November 4, the government had already reduced petrol prices by Rs5.45 per litre. Similarly, high-speed diesel became cheaper by Rs3.68 per litre.
However, the government has now announced another round of reductions, bringing further relief to consumers.
With both adjustments, petrol has recorded a cumulative reduction of Rs12.51 per litre. Meanwhile, diesel prices have decreased by Rs7.39 per litre across the two consecutive revisions.
The latest decision offers motorists another opportunity to manage their fuel expenses amid changing petroleum prices.
