Pakistan’s technology sector has gained international recognition after Unikrew Solutions won the AI in Financial Services Award at ASOCIO 2026.
The company received the award on October 6 at Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue in Indonesia. The presentation took place during the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026.
The event brought together technology leaders, policymakers, innovators and industry executives from across Asia and Oceania. Moreover, the ASOCIO Digital & AI Awards recognize organizations advancing artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Unikrew Competes Against Technology Firms From Seven Economies
Unikrew Solutions represented Pakistan in the highly competitive AI in Financial Services category. The category featured technology organizations from seven economies across the region.
These included Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. Notably, the international field included several established technology organizations.
Among them were KASIKORN Business-Technology Group from Thailand and FPT Corporation from Vietnam. The Fiscal Information Agency of Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance also competed in the category.
INFOPRO Malaysia and other technology organizations were also part of the international competition.
The category focuses on the use of artificial intelligence across financial services. It covers areas including banking, fintech, insurance and capital markets.
In addition, the award recognizes secure and compliant AI solutions that deliver measurable improvements. It also highlights technology that promotes efficiency, innovation and greater inclusion across financial services.
Unikrew CEO Highlights Pakistan’s AI Capabilities
Muhammad Naveed Sharif, CEO of Unikrew Solutions, described the international award as an important milestone for Pakistan’s technology sector.
“This award is bigger than an individual technology or company milestone. It demonstrates that sophisticated, secure and regulated AI can be built in Pakistan and compete alongside leading technology organizations internationally. Representing Pakistan in Jakarta and bringing this recognition home is an incredibly proud moment for our team. For us, AI is not about demonstrations or hype — it must work in production, operate at scale and solve real institutional problems. That is the standard we continue to build for.”
The recognition adds to Unikrew’s recent record of achievements in the technology sector. The company has received recognition for digital identity and financial technology solutions.
Unikrew Builds on Previous International Recognition
In 2025, Unikrew’s Faceoff digital identity platform won Gold at the P@SHA ICT Awards. It later secured Silver at the APICTA Awards 2025 in Taiwan.
The achievement gave the company another opportunity to represent Pakistan internationally. Meanwhile, Unikrew continued expanding its technology portfolio in 2026.
Its Cascade end-to-end digital financing platform received recognition at the P@SHA ICT Awards this year. As a result, the company’s award record now spans digital identity, digital financing and artificial intelligence.
The latest ASOCIO award further strengthens that progression. It recognizes Unikrew’s work at the intersection of AI and financial services.
Unikrew Technologies Used Across Multiple Sectors
Unikrew Solutions said its systems currently operate across a range of sectors. These include national identity and registration, fintech, banking, insurance and social welfare.
The company also works on e-governance initiatives. Furthermore, it serves more than 50 financial institutions, insurance companies and public-sector organizations.
Its technologies also contribute to national-level use cases in Pakistan. This combination of local deployment and international recognition highlights the company’s growing technology footprint.
The latest award also reflects the broader potential for Pakistani technology companies to compete beyond domestic markets. Unikrew’s recognition in Jakarta places its AI capabilities alongside technology organizations from several major regional economies.
Unikrew Aims to Expand Global Technology Footprint
Sharif said the company views practical deployment as an important measure of technological success.
“Awards recognize innovation; production proves its impact. Our ambition is to continue building technology from Pakistan that earns the trust of critical institutions at home and competes confidently on the world stage.”
The company also acknowledged ASOCIO, APTIKNAS and the Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA) for supporting the platform.
Unikrew said these organizations helped create opportunities for Pakistani technology companies to represent the country internationally.
The ASOCIO 2026 award therefore adds another international milestone to Unikrew Solutions’ growing technology portfolio. It also highlights the company’s focus on applying AI to financial services and other institutional use cases.
