Roti, Naan Prices Continue to Rise in Islamabad

Roti and naan prices have risen significantly across the country as a result of rising flour prices caused by a severe shortage during the ongoing economic crisis.

In Islamabad, the price of roti and naan has risen by Rs. 10 in the last few days.

Naan is now available for up to Rs. 30, while roti is available for as little as Rs. 25.

With no immediate relief from the flour shortage in sight, the price of naan and roti is expected to rise further.

Another Rs. 5 increase is likely in the next two to three days, bringing the cost of roti and naan to Rs. 25-30 and Rs. 30-35, respectively.

However, the price of roti and naan has risen by 75% since then.

The Insaf Naanbai Association Islamabad has set the prices for roti, naan, qulcha, Afghani naan, roghni naan, and paratha, as well as special roghni naan and paratha (INAI).

When discussing the rising costs of roti and naan, the owner of a tandoor claimed that a 50 kg bag of flour was available for Rs. 8,000.

Its price increased to Rs. 10,000 last week. It is currently priced at Rs. 13,500.
