President Confers Awards on Military Officers for Excellence in National Defence

ISLAMABAD: A distinguished ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, where President Asif Ali Zardari presented awards to military officers in recognition of their exceptional contributions to national defense.

The prestigious event was attended by Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who joined in honoring several officers for their remarkable bravery and dedication.

Captain Syed Amir Raza was awarded the Sitara-e-Basalat for his exemplary courage and steadfast commitment to duty.

The Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) was conferred upon Air Marshal Muhammad Sarfraz, Air Marshal Kazim Hamad, Air Marshal Shakeel Ghazanfar, and Air Marshal Shakeel Safdar, in recognition of their distinguished service. Additionally, Major General Saeed ur Rehman Sarwar, Major General Nadeem Fazal, Major General Tahir Masood Ahmad, Major General Sohail Sabir, Major General Fawad Ahmad Siddiqui, and Major General Zeeshan Ahmad also received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).

Other recipients of the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) included Rear Admiral Muhammad Hussain Siyal, Major General Syed Mukarram Hussain, Major General Iftikhar Ahmad Satti, and Major General Ghulam Shabbir Narejo, all of whom were honored for their distinguished service.

Furthermore, Major General Shahid Parvez, Major General Nadeem Yousaf, Major General Ghulam Muhammad, Major General Noor Wali Khan, Major General Muhammad Naeem Akhtar, Major General Raja Muhammad Nadeem Ashraf, Major General Raja Muhammad Asim Khan, Major General Naseem Anwar, and Major General Umar Ahmad Shah were also recognized with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).

The ceremony underscored the nation’s deep gratitude for the unwavering commitment and sacrifices made by its armed forces.
