The delegation is led by the prime minister.

At the Istanbul Shipyard, PM Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan will jointly inaugurate the third of the four MILGEM Corvette Ships for the Pakistan Navy’s PNS Khaibar.

Additionally, the two leaders will have extensive discussions about bilateral relations, regional conditions, and other topics of interest.

The prime minister will speak with influential business figures in Turkiye.

During his visit to Istanbul, the president of the ECO Trade and Development Bank (ETDB) will also meet with the prime minister.

Fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye are based on shared religious, cultural, and historical beliefs and are strengthened by exemplary camaraderie and trust.

The Pakistan-Turkiye strategic partnership, which is still growing and is on an upward trajectory, has reached a significant turning point with the MILGEM project, which is based on joint cooperation between the two nations.

The first corvette for the Pakistan Navy, PNS Babur, had its launching ceremony in Istanbul in August 2021, while the second ship, PNS Badr, had its groundbreaking ceremony in Karachi in May 2022.

The enduring ties of friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye are characterized by frequent exchanges at the leadership level.
