Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Ship-Launched Ballistic Missile
The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a flight test of an indigenously developed ship-launched ballistic missile, as announced by the navy’s Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) on Monday.
According to the statement, the missile boasts a range of 350 kilometers and is designed to engage both land and sea targets with high precision. The weapon system features advanced navigation and maneuverability capabilities.
This achievement highlights Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing its defense capabilities through homegrown technology and innovation, marking a significant advancement in military technology aimed at strengthening national security.
The test was observed by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior navy officials, scientists, and engineers.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other top military leaders congratulated the naval units and scientists involved in the successful demonstration.
Earlier this year, the Pakistan Army successfully tested the Fatah-II guided rocket system, which has a range of 400 kilometers. Additionally, in 2023, the Navy demonstrated its combat readiness by effectively launching surface-to-air missiles during a missile firing exercise, showcasing its ability to defend against aerial threats.
