No officer should be on duty without mask: IG Punjab

All shopping malls will be closed at 6 pm during the lockdown.

In Sargodha city of Punjab, 6 areas have been locked down due to continuous increase in Corona patients. A 15-day lockdown has also been carried out in Multan district. IG Punjab Inam Ghani has said that mask is part of uniform without mask no officer should be on duty.

According to the spokesperson of district administration Multan, educational institutions, wedding halls, parks, cinemas, theaters and dargahs will remain closed till March 28, while meat, vegetable, fruit and grocery stores will remain open from 7 am to 9 pm.

The district administration has said that all shopping malls will be closed at 6 pm during the lockdown, medical stores, clinics, hospitals, petrol pumps and bakeries will be open 24 hours a day.

The spokesman said that it would be forbidden to sit and eat in the restaurant.

District Administration Focal Person of Sargodha Sikandar Hayat said that lockdown has been imposed in 6 areas of the city, New Satellite Town Z Block, Farooq Colony and University Road besides some areas of Iqbal Colony Block 3 and 4.

On the other hand, IG Punjab Inam Ghani has issued a letter to all RPOs and DPOs of Punjab.

In the letter, he said that the mask is part of the uniform and no officer should be on duty without a mask.

Traders in Multan have rejected the administration’s lockdown letter.

It should be noted that 29 more people have died of coronavirus in Pakistan. During the last 24 hours, 2253 new cases of corona have come to light. On March 14, more than 44,000 corona tests were done.
