NAB recovers Rs33 Billion from Zardari-related fake bank accounts: Fawad

Faward Chaudhary claimed that actual fake accounts cases involved a huge amount of Rs5000 billion corruption.

Fawad Husain Chaudhary, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that so far the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered Rs33 billion in the fake accounts case involving former president Asif Ali Zardari. He pointed out that actual fake accounts involved a huge amount of Rs5000 billion.

Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhary made this disclosure in his tweet on July 3, 2021. He said the amount recovered from fake accounts was equal to 200 million dollars. He said that recovery of 33 billion rupees from fake bank accounts shows the scale of corruption.

During his his recent visit to Karachi, Federal Minister also stated that the Sindh rulers and the PPP leaders were involved in massive corruption of public funds. He pointed out that the development given to Sindh are recovered from Canada, Europe and Dubai.
