Imam-e-Kaaba Commends Pakistani Expats’ Role to Saudi Arabia’s Development

Imam-e-Kaaba Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Humaid emphasized the critical role of imparting Islamic values to the new generation during a meeting with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad. Dr. Humaid’s call for training aligned with Islamic principles underscores the significance of fostering values that contribute to the holistic development of individuals in accordance with Islamic teachings.

The meeting, which took place on the heels of the Saudi dignitary’s six-day visit to Pakistan, included discussions on various aspects of bilateral relations. Dr. Humaid, known for his prominent role in the Islamic world, had previously met with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, indicating the multifaceted engagements during his visit.

The gathering at the Prime Minister’s House was attended by several dignitaries, including Caretaker ministers Aneeq Ahmed and Madad Ali Sindhi, the special representative of the PM Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, and Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki. During the meeting, Dr. Humaid expressed his appreciation for the significant role played by Pakistani expatriates in the development and prosperity of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the deep-rooted and ideal relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kakar, reciprocating the sentiments, expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s cooperation in Pakistan’s education and health sectors. He particularly lauded the exemplary care provided by the Saudi government to Pakistani expatriates working in the kingdom.

Beyond bilateral relations, the meeting delved into global issues, with Prime Minister Kakar condemning Israel’s ongoing aggression against Palestinians and advocating for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He also called for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor to deliver much-needed relief goods to Gaza, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Additionally, the Prime Minister welcomed the establishment of a news agency under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s platform, highlighting the need for broadcasting documentaries on Islamic teachings, history, and traditions in various languages.

This emphasis on global outreach underscores the importance of conveying the true message of Islam to diverse audiences around the world. The multifaceted discussions during the meeting reflect the depth and breadth of the diplomatic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing their commitment to shared values and cooperation in various domains.
