Arshad Sharif Murder: Maryam Nawaz issues apology over tweet on Arshad Sharif

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz apologised for an offensive tweet she made earlier about the murdered Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif, who was killed in Nairobi by Kenyan police in a case of “mistaken identity.”

She returned to Twitter and posted an apology that read: “My message was about learning from the past, not about making fun of anyone. Since it was never my aim, I am taking down the tweet and apologise for any harm it may have brought to the resentful.”

Maryam added, “May no one ever have to go through this pain,” in her message of sympathy to the “bereaved family.”

After this Tweet, Netizens criticised PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
