Renowned singer Ali Zafar has announced a reward of Rs. 1 million for Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem after the athlete brought pride to the nation by winning the first-ever individual Olympic gold medal in Paris.
Arshad Nadeem ended a 32-year medal drought for Pakistan by securing gold at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday night, achieving an impressive throw of 92.97 meters in the javelin final.
With his remarkable second throw, the gold medalist also set a new Olympic record.
To celebrate the Olympian’s historic win, singer-actor Ali Zafar announced that he will present Arshad Nadeem with a Rs. 1 million reward through his foundation.
In a post on X on Friday, the ‘Jhoom’ singer shared, “Arshad Nadeem breaks the record with 92.97 meters and wins gold for Pakistan! I will be honoring him with a one million reward through AliZFoundation.”
He added, “Let’s give our heroes the celebration they deserve. I urge Govt. of Pakistan and CM Shehbaz to welcome him like a hero and establish a sports academy in his name.”
