At a press conference alongside Arshad Nadeem, Abrarul Haq, known for his hit “Assan Jana Mall-o Mall,” praised the athlete’s recent achievement. “Arshad Nadeem has delivered much-needed good news to a nation grappling with various challenges, including economic hardships,” Haq said.
“With his gold medal win, Arshad has proudly waved our national flag, ending a 44-year wait for such a triumph,” he added.
Haq announced a reward of Rs1.5 million for Nadeem and revealed that a sports initiative, Sahara Sports, will now bear Nadeem’s name. “We are thrilled to honor Arshad with this recognition,” Haq noted.
In response, Nadeem expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Haq and his family for the reward. “Hard work, dedication, and humility are always rewarded,” Nadeem said.
Haq further commented, “The respect I’ve received from this gesture will only enhance my own abilities.”
Nadeem emphasized the importance of supporting athletes, stating, “When athletes receive support, it elevates their performance.” He also highlighted Pakistan’s abundant talent, remarking, “Success comes through hard work and passion.”
