Official Warning Urges Citizens to Use Direct Digital Channels
The National Database and Registration Authority National Database and Registration Authority issued a public advisory for overseas Pakistanis and clarified that it has not authorized any consultants, agents, dealers, or third-party representatives to process identity documents or manage online applications on its behalf.
According to the authority, citizens living abroad should use only official NADRA channels and digital platforms for identity-related services. Officials stressed that relying on unofficial intermediaries could expose applicants to fraud, financial losses, and misuse of personal information.
Meanwhile, the advisory particularly addressed overseas Pakistanis who often seek assistance from private individuals or agencies while handling documentation matters from foreign countries.
Authorities stated that no private person, company, organization, or external service provider operating anywhere in the world has received approval to collect payments or process applications for computerized identity documents on behalf of NADRA.
NADRA also reminded citizens that all major online services remain available through its official digital systems designed to provide secure and direct access for users.
According to the authority, overseas Pakistanis can submit applications through official online channels, including the Pak Identity portal and mobile application.
Additionally, these platforms allow users to apply for services including Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC), National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), and other identity-related documents without visiting physical offices.
Furthermore, officials encouraged applicants to remain cautious and verify information through official sources before sharing personal details or making payments.
The authority emphasized that following official procedures can help citizens protect their personal information and avoid unnecessary risks during the application process.
