Security forces killed three Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists, including a commander, in Balochistan’s Mastung district. Security sources confirmed the operation on Monday as counterterrorism operations continue across the province.
According to sources, security forces targeted a terrorists’ vehicle using a quadcopter. The strike destroyed the vehicle and killed three militants, including commander Naqeeb.
Security Operations Continue Across Balochistan
Security sources said operations against militants would continue until the elimination of the remaining terrorists. Authorities have intensified efforts to disrupt militant networks operating across Balochistan.
The latest operation follows separate intelligence-based operations in Kharan and Washuk districts. Security forces killed at least 11 India-sponsored militants during operations conducted on September 6 and 7.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations followed intelligence reports about terrorist presence. The militants allegedly belonged to Fitna al-Hindustan, described by authorities as an Indian proxy group.
KP and Balochistan Remain Violence Hotspots
Pakistan has witnessed increased militant activity since 2021, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The trend intensified after the Afghan Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan.
A Centre for Research and Security Studies report identified both provinces as major violence hotspots. The report covered Pakistan’s second quarter of 2026 and identified KP as the worst-affected region.
According to the report, KP and Balochistan accounted for nearly 96% of violence-related fatalities nationwide. KP recorded more than 61% of deaths, with 475 fatalities, while Balochistan reported 265 deaths.
KP also recorded 151 violent incidents during the quarter. These incidents represented 57% of the nationwide total, while Balochistan reported 94 incidents.
The figures highlight the continuing security challenges in both provinces. Security forces are conducting operations to counter militant networks and prevent further attacks.
