Alvira Hamza, the wife of a Pakistan Navy officer who embraced martyrdom, has turned personal loss into a story of determination by joining the Pakistan Navy as a commissioned officer.
She received her commission after graduating from the Pakistan Naval Academy. Moreover, she earned the prestigious Commandant Gold Medal for outstanding performance. Alvira has now joined the Pakistan Navy’s Information Technology branch, marking a significant milestone in her journey.

Speaking about her achievement, Alvira said her late husband, Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid, inspired her to wear the same uniform he once proudly served in. She described the moment as a source of immense pride for both herself and her daughter.
