MANSEHRA/ISLAMABAD: Mansehra police have arrested Sibtain Khan who opened firing on five transgenders inside their home in the Upper Channia area late Sunday night and injured them. Sibtain fled from the crime scene, but Mansehra police has arrested the accused after registering a case against him.
Four of the five transgenders _ Sumiro, Tulsi, Muna and Kaif are in critical condition and they have been shifted to Ayub Medical Hospital, Mansehra SP Operations Jamil Akhter told media.
They were first admitted at the King Abdullah Hospital but shifted to Ayub Medical Hospital in Abbottabad for some important surgeries.
Jamil Akhter told media that Khan was temporarily living with the transgender persons and opened fire when another man, a friend of one of the transgender persons, visited the place.
The SP said that an FIR has been registered under Section 324 (attempt to murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The suspect is being questioned and further investigation is underway, he added.
