Rawalpindi Police Van Accident: 4 Injured as Vehicle Falls into Ditch

In a concerning incident near Ghenoian Mor in Kotli Sattian, Rawalpindi, a police van carrying a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and three other officers veered off the road and plunged into a ditch. The mishap, attributed to speeding, resulted in injuries to all four occupants.

According to Punjab Police, the DSP Kotli Sattian was onboard the official vehicle when the driver lost control while navigating a bend near Ghenoian Mor.

The vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the nearby ditch, leading to injuries sustained by the DSP and the three accompanying officers.

Prompt medical assistance was provided, and all injured individuals were swiftly transported to Tehsil Hospital Kotli Sattian for treatment. Thankfully, their conditions were reported to be stable, offering a glimmer of relief amidst the distressing circumstances.

Initial reports suggest that the accident occurred as the vehicle attempted to negotiate a sharp turn, highlighting the dangers of high-speed travel on winding roads.

The occupants of the official van included the DSP Kotli Sattian, the driver, a gunman, and an operator, all of whom were affected by the unfortunate incident.

In response to the situation, authorities mobilized a crane to the accident site to facilitate the retrieval of the van from the ditch.

Despite the challenging conditions, rescue workers persevered and successfully extracted the vehicle, marking a crucial step in the aftermath of the accident.

This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the inherent risks associated with reckless driving, particularly on roads with sharp bends and challenging terrain.
