KARACHI: On Monday, the police arrested Irfan, the principal of a private school in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed, for allegedly sexually assaulting teachers and other staff members.
The police also seized more than ’25 obscene videos’ from Irfan’s mobile phone. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Hasan Sardar confirmed the arrest and stated that they had filed a case against him. SSP Malir collected all the necessary evidence against the accused.
The police stated that Irfan actively engaged in blackmailing and extortion, with citizens playing a crucial role in apprehending him.
Furthermore, the Sindh Education Department swiftly responded to the alarming incident involving the alleged sexual assault of teachers and staff members at the private school in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed.
To thoroughly investigate the matter and uncover the facts, the department initiated a four-member committee, with Deputy Director Qurban Bhutto leading the efforts. This committee has the responsibility of visiting the school to collect vital information and evidence concerning the incident.
Moreover, Additional Director Rafia Mallah raised concerns about the school’s registration status, highlighting that the private institution in question was not registered. This raises significant questions about its legality and adherence to educational standards and regulations.
Hence, she confirmed their plan to take suitable actions against the school’s administration.
