Iranian President to Commence Official Visit to Pakistan Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to embark on an official visit to Pakistan from April 22nd to 24th, as announced by a spokesperson from the Foreign Office on Sunday.

This visit marks a significant milestone as it will be the first official visit by a head of state following Pakistan’s general elections.

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, President Raisi’s entourage will include Iran’s Foreign Minister, other cabinet members, senior officials, and a substantial trade delegation.

The itinerary for the visit includes meetings with Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Senate, and Speaker of the National Assembly. Additionally, President Raisi is scheduled to visit Lahore and Karachi, where he will engage with provincial leaders.

Both sides aim to explore avenues for mutual benefit and economic growth, with a particular emphasis on expanding trade ties and facilitating investment opportunities.

Furthermore, the agenda includes deliberations on regional and global issues of mutual interest, with a specific emphasis on cooperation in combating terrorism.
