Prime Minister Condemns Assault on Customs Officials in DI Khan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently condemned the heinous attack on Customs officials in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing deep sorrow and outrage over the tragic loss of lives.

Emphasizing the government’s unwavering determination in the fight against terrorism and smuggling, the Prime Minister asserted that such cowardly acts would not deter the resolve of the nation.

In a press release issued by the PM Office Media Wing, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt prayers for the souls of the departed officials and offered condolences to their grieving families, urging them to find strength and resilience in this difficult time.

Recognizing the immense sacrifices made by the Shaheed officials in service to the nation, the Prime Minister underscored the government’s responsibility in providing support to the bereaved families.

He directed the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to promptly prepare a comprehensive package to assist the families of the martyred officials, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and support in their time of need.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the significance of honoring the sacrifices made by those who lay down their lives in the line of duty, stating that they remain eternally alive in the eyes of Allah Almighty.

This tragic incident marks yet another somber chapter in the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement agencies, particularly in areas prone to security threats and acts of violence.

The loss of six Customs officials within a single week highlights the urgent need for heightened security measures and reinforced efforts to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens and public servants alike.
