Hafiz Naeemur Rehman Accuses MQM-P, Claims Extensive Rigging in General Elections

On the recent developments in the political landscape, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a prominent figure within the ranks of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), voiced grave concerns on Friday regarding what he claimed to be extensive rigging in the ongoing general elections.

Rehman took the opportunity to direct sharp criticism towards the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), asserting that the party finds itself on the defensive as the public appears to be increasingly disenchanted with its political agenda.

Of particular focus for Rehman was the situation in the newly emerging Karachi, where he pointed out that key MQM-P candidates, including Khawaja Izharul Hasan, failed to secure more than 10,000 votes each. What intensified Rehman’s disapproval was his assertion that the reported election results underwent subsequent alterations.

Undaunted by the alleged irregularities, Rehman proclaimed that JI is resolute in its commitment to safeguarding its electoral mandate. To manifest this resolve, he announced plans for the party to stage protests against what he deemed the “worst rigging” at various levels of the electoral process.

The accusations made by Rehman highlight the heightened tensions and suspicions surrounding the fairness of the electoral proceedings, adding another layer of complexity to an already charged political atmosphere. As the situation unfolds, the resilience of JI and its determination to challenge perceived injustices underscore the significance of transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
