SARGODHA: This is a horrible and an unbelievable tragic incident in a small city, Toba Tek Singh near Faisalabad, Punjab. In Toba Tek Singh, police have filed a case against a brother who murdered his sister in front of their family.
A disturbing video circulating on social media depicts the accused suffocating to death his sister, Maria, by pressing a pillow onto her face.
Shockingly, the father and other family members witnessed the tragic event, with the father even offering water to the perpetrator after the devilish deed was done.
The harrowing incident occurred between the night of March 17 and 18 in Chak 277 JB, Toba Tek Singh, as per police reports.
Subsequent to the video’s emergence, law enforcement took action, including exhuming the girl’s grave to gather forensic samples for analysis.
District Police Officer Ibadat Nisar of Toba Tek Singh stated that another sibling, who was present during the incident, reported the crime to authorities.
Furthermore, the accused brother disclosed that both the father and himself had previously subjected Maria to sexual assault.
Earlier, in a separate tragic incident, a 12-year-old girl was reportedly raped in Islamabad’s F-9 park, sparking outrage and concern within the community. The harrowing incident, which allegedly took place on March 16 but was only reported to the police on March 18, has left many shocked and saddened.
According to the child’s mother, who is a single parent working as a maid to support her family, the child was lured out of their home by a friend’s brother under false pretenses. The child returned home late in the evening, visibly distraught, and recounted a horrifying ordeal where she was taken to F-9 park on a motorcycle and sexually assaulted.
The gravity of the situation is underscored by the fact that this is not an isolated incident in F-9 park. Just last year, a similar crime occurred at the same location, leading to a fatal encounter between the police and the suspects involved.
The filing of a First Information Report (FIR) by the child’s mother has named both the friend and her brother as suspects in this heinous crime. The FIR also documents that the child was promptly taken for a medical examination at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences to gather evidence and ensure her well-being.
This tragic event sheds light on the vulnerability of individuals, especially young girls, in public spaces and underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and vigilance.
