British MP Yasmin Qureshi has voiced concerns regarding the possible closure of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) London office. In a letter addressed to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Qureshi urged the Pakistani government to reconsider any decision to shut down the office.
Qureshi highlighted that closing the office, especially at a time when flights are being restored, could have a negative impact on the airline’s operations. She emphasized that the London office serves as a crucial operational hub for PIA in the UK.
In response to the concerns, a PIA spokesperson clarified that there are no plans to close the London office. Instead, the office is undergoing modernization to better align with the airline’s current operational needs.
