Anchor Mishal Bukhari Passes Away At 38
Mishal Bukhari, 38, a television anchorperson, died in Lahore after battling with cancer for 2 years.
Bukhari had fifteen years of experience working in both print and digital media. She had previously worked for PTV and other notable news organisations.
She began her career as a sub-editor in the Express newspaper magazine.
She was born in Karachi in July 1984, and the University of Punjab awarded her a master’s degree in mass communication.
The journalist community has expressed its sorrow over Mishal Bukhari’s tragic passing.
Her Husband Ameer Abbas Tweeted:
“After fighting cancer for two years, my wife, journalist Mishal Bukhari, a beautiful heart, an incomparable personality, an incredibly patient, unbelievably brave woman, left an unbearable shock.”

Ms. Bukhari’s funeral prayers will be offered today (Wednesday) at 1 pm at Jamia Al-Muntazar in Lahore.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of Information, expressed condolences, saying in a message that I am deeply saddened by the news and that her contributions to the media industry would not be forgotten.
