Law enforcement authorities in Hangu launched a major intelligence-based operation in the Doaba and Tal regions, resulting in the arrest of 21 suspects, including four individuals identified as known criminals.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khalid Khan confirmed that the extensive search and strike operation was part of an ongoing strategy to curb rising criminal activity in the region. Acting on credible intelligence, the police raided multiple locations suspected of harboring criminals and illegal activity.
During the operation, a considerable cache of weapons and narcotics was recovered from the arrested individuals. The confiscated items are believed to have been intended for use in unlawful activities and distribution across the region.
In addition to the arrests, the operation also targeted the infrastructure used by the suspects. Several hideouts belonging to miscreants were destroyed—either set on fire or demolished—to prevent their reuse by criminal elements.
The DPO reiterated the police force’s resolve to maintain peace and security in Hangu and affirmed that similar operations will continue in the coming days to completely dismantle criminal networks operating in the district.
He emphasized that the success of such operations depends heavily on community cooperation and timely intelligence-sharing. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help build a safer environment for all.
This operation marks a significant step forward in restoring law and order in Hangu, a region that has faced periodic unrest due to the presence of armed groups and drug traffickers.
