15 Levies Force cops sacked for refusing to take security of trains in Balochistan

QUETTA: In a decisive move to restore discipline and accountability, the Director General of the Levies Force, Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, has dismissed 15 personnel over continued absenteeism, negligence of duty, insubordination, and creating disorder within the ranks.

The dismissed officials were part of the CPEC Wing and the SSPEU Wing, deployed across several key districts in Balochistan, including Sibi, Sorab, Khuzdar, Turbat, and Panjgur.

Despite being assigned critical security duties by Pakistan Railways along the route from Shal to Jafarabad, the personnel failed to report for duty without informing or seeking permission from their superiors — a serious violation of discipline.

The Levies Force administration emphasized that this consistent dereliction of duty not only disrupted operational efficiency but also posed serious administrative and security challenges, especially at a time when the region faces growing threats from organized terrorist activity.

The names of the dismissed personnel are as follows:

  • Sibi: Khaleq Dad, Zahir Ahmed, Gul Muhammad
  • Sorab: Yasir Ahmed
  • Khuzdar: Zahir Ahmed, Zahid Ahmed, Abid Hussain, Abdul Hafeez
  • Turbat: Sagheer Ahmed, Sadiq Safar, Saeed Ahmed, Jalal Murad
  • Panjgur: Tanveer Ahmed, Muhammad Hussain, Sajid Ali

As per the official decree, the relevant departments have been directed to immediately cease salary disbursements to the dismissed individuals. It was also confirmed that none of them will be eligible for reinstatement or future employment in any government service.

This action forms part of a broader initiative by the Levies Force leadership to combat indiscipline and enhance readiness amid escalating security concerns across Balochistan.
