
In response to a shocking case of robbery on the streets of Lahore, where a teenage girl was hurt in the act, immediate steps have been taken by the government. In a statement to the media, Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister, ordered that the accused be arrested at once.
Incident Caught on Camera Raises Alarm
This case was reported following the circulation of a video clip that appeared on various social media platforms on Friday. In the video, one can see a man grabbing a girl who is traveling on a scooty in Nawab Town. While she tries to resist, he pulls her along until she finally falls to the ground. This leaves her with bruises on her body parts, including her limbs. She had been traveling around the vicinity of her house when this happened.
However, on the other hand, the case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by her father, Mr. Mohammad Saqib. According to the complaint, the daughter had suffered serious injuries due to the robbery. This is now causing panic amongst the residents of the area.
Police Launch Investigation, CM Expresses Concern
After the incident, several teams were formed by the DIG Operations to locate the perpetrator. At present, they are analyzing the videos captured through the cameras of Safe City and looking for all leads which may help in finding and apprehending the assailant. It has been said that they are doing it on tight orders.
In reaction to this, the Chief Minister called it a painful experience. She said that there was no room left for any crime committed against young girls. It is essential that her sisters and daughters must always stay protected.
