ISLAMABAD: Pakistani social media star and digital creator Jannat Mirza has raised her voice against cyberbullying and online harassment. She urged authorities to take stronger action against individuals who target women on digital platforms.
The influencer shared an Instagram Story featuring the image of a person allegedly involved in online abuse. Alongside the post, she issued a strong statement condemning harassment and attacks on women’s dignity.
Calls for Accountability
Jannat revealed that she had received several messages from people accusing the same individual of targeting women online. According to her, the person allegedly engaged in harassment, intimidation, and character attacks.
She stressed the importance of speaking out against such behavior. Furthermore, she said that those who choose to humiliate or harm others should be exposed and held accountable.
โSilence only enables this kind of conduct to continue,โ she wrote. She added that stronger action is necessary to ensure that women do not face harassment without consequences.
Demand for Stronger Legal Measures
In a follow-up statement, Jannat called for strict punishment for those who spread hatred and abuse against women. She emphasized that no one has the right to attack a womanโs dignity or damage her reputation through online harassment.
Moreover, she urged the government to take the toughest possible action against offenders. She argued that strict penalties would discourage others from engaging in similar conduct.
The influencer also tagged the official social media account of the Punjab government. Through her platform, she called on authorities and law enforcement agencies to take decisive legal action against cyber harassers.
