The Islamabad Police recently rebranded its Dolphin Police Force. Now, this dynamic force will operate as the Capital Patrols Unit. This important restructuring actively aims to improve emergency response services and daily patrolling across the federal capital.
To boost efficiency, the newly established unit will receive forty advanced electric vehicles. Consequently, these eco-friendly cars will help enhance local mobility, city surveillance, and emergency response capabilities.
Restructuring the Force
As part of this transition, the department transferred one hundred police personnel to the new unit. The dynamic team includes experienced officers of various ranks, such as Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, and Head Constables.
Specifically, the unit will comprise:
-
32 Sub-Inspectors
-
36 Assistant Sub-Inspectors
-
32 Head Constables
The department selected these skilled officers from several key divisions. For example, they pulled experts from local police stations, the Security Division, the Investigation Division, the Traffic Police, and the Counter Terrorism Department. Furthermore, officers already serving in the former Dolphin Police Force will transition into this new team.
Specialized Focus on Public Safety
In addition, the department appointed Assistant Superintendent of Police Anila Waris as the Chinese focal person for the unit.
Ultimately, the Islamabad Police expects that this upgraded division will significantly improve public safety measures. With modern electric vehicles and highly trained personnel, the force is fully prepared to provide faster, more efficient assistance to citizens.
