Government Pushes for Luxury Hotel Developments
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the session at the Capital Development Authority headquarters. Officials reviewed progress on various ongoing and future initiatives in the capital. Moreover, they decided to facilitate the building of five-star hotels. They will achieve this through joint ventures with prominent international firms. In addition, authorities plan to roll out a zero-tax policy for hotels. This move encourages both local and foreign investors to participate actively in the expanding hospitality sector.
Officials also checked updates on a five-star hotel project underway in collaboration with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution. They stressed the need to accelerate construction efforts and ensure the project finishes on time.
Focus Shifts to Better Governance and Safety Measures
Moreover, the government approved the process of conducting an extensive survey on the lands and properties in Islamabad. For this purpose, the Survey of Pakistan will conduct this vital project to ensure good governance and keep transparency in governance. In addition to this, the leaders will hire a marketing team. This team would be responsible for promoting auctions and making sure that maximum participation occurs by potential investors.
Consequently, as a part of these projects, the government approved the establishment of a central control room for capital emergencies. This project is being integrated into the Safe City Islamabad project to ensure better emergency response times. Together, these steps serve the purpose of upgrading infrastructure in the urban areas. They help make the required facilities available according to international standards.
