Iran’s Foreign Ministry said officials are continuing diplomatic consultations with Pakistan and Qatar, while denying reports of imminent high-level visits to either country.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said Iranian officials remain in contact with their counterparts in both countries through ongoing diplomatic exchanges.
However, Baqaei clarified that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has no current plans to visit Pakistan or Qatar. He also said Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is not scheduled to travel to either country at this time.
Moreover, the spokesperson emphasised that diplomatic engagement between Iran, Pakistan and Qatar continues despite the absence of planned official visits.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased diplomatic efforts involving several Middle Eastern countries.
Pakistan and Qatar have remained actively engaged in regional diplomacy, maintaining contacts with Iran on issues related to security and broader regional developments.
However, Baqaei did not provide further details about the discussions or indicate whether future high-level meetings could be arranged.
The remarks reaffirm Iran’s position that diplomatic communication with regional partners remains ongoing, even though no official visits by the foreign minister or parliament speaker are currently on the agenda.
