Iranian Air Force unveils first underground airbase

The Iranian Army today unveiled “Oqab 44” (Eagle 44) _ the first subterranean air force facility. This underground airbase cancontrol a variety of fighter planes, bombers, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Iranian top General, Major-Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief Commander of the Iranian Army, inspected their first underground base to see its operational capacity.

Army Chief Major-Gen. Abdolrahim Mousavi said, “The foes have turned to hybrid war against the Islamic establishment after being dealt tremendous blows by the Iranian nation and Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”

“The enemy has been attempting to hurt the progress and prosperity of Iran and inflict a blow by adopting various schemes and machinations,” General Mousavi said.

The Iranian army chief said this in a statement today as Iran is marking the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, according to Tehran Times.

He said, “The foes of Iran have planned a vast hybrid war against Iran, based on psychological and media operations.

General Mousavi also called the Islamic Revolution a “massive worldwide phenomenon in the concluding decades of the twentieth century, with far-reaching regional and international impacts.”

General Mousavi said that enemies of Iran will again face humiliation and they will never succeed in their nefarious ambitions.
