The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has warned students and applicants against individuals posing as “attestation agents” and offering assistance with educational document verification. The commission said such individuals could expose applicants to potential fraud.
In a public alert, HEC advised applicants to avoid sharing personal or educational information with unauthorized people. It also urged students to remain cautious when dealing with anyone claiming to offer attestation services.
HEC Urges Applicants to Use Online System
HEC clarified that its attestation process is completely online and paperless. Applicants can therefore submit and manage their attestation requests themselves through the commission’s official system.
The commission strongly advised applicants to follow the instructions available on the HEC website. It said there was no need to rely on individuals claiming to provide special assistance with the process.
