Saudi Arabia has unveiled the Tasreeh platform, a digital system developed to issue Hajj permits electronically for pilgrims and workers entering the holy city of Makkah.
The platform is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to streamline and modernize the Hajj permit process, aiming to ensure a more efficient, organized, and secure pilgrimage season. By digitizing permit issuance, Tasreeh significantly reduces paperwork and speeds up entry procedures.
One of the key objectives of the platform is to prevent unauthorized access to Makkah during the Hajj season, thereby preserving the sanctity of the holy sites and enhancing overall security.
In addition to improving regulation and coordination during Hajj, Tasreeh is designed to elevate the standard of services offered to pilgrims. By simplifying logistical procedures, the system allows pilgrims to focus more comfortably on performing their rituals.
The initiative is aligned with the goals of the Doyof Al-Rahman Program, a flagship component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to enrich the experience of pilgrims visiting the Kingdom.
Furthermore, the Tasreeh platform incorporates advanced technology by integrating with the Maidan application, enabling security personnel at Makkah’s checkpoints to automatically scan and verify digital permits in real time.
